Passing Place
“Passing Place” is even more common than places that share the name “You are here”. The majority of roads in the Outer Hebrides are single track and theere are many passing places which allow vehicles in the opposite directiom to pass. With careful driving by opposing vehicles by adjusting the approach speed, it is often possible tp use these passing places without having to stop.
This one is the first passing point on Eriskay when coming from the ferry from Barra.
