Brimham Rocks
A fascinating area of Nidderdale. These rocky outcrops of millstone grit can be traced back some 320 million years. The rock formations cover an area of around 50 acres and the bizarre shapes are due to erosion over the years, particulally with a freeze/thaw action each winter. The area is hugely popular, especially at the weekend.
