The New Forest on a Bank Holiday in May
It used to be a joke that if it was a Bank Holiday (a public holiday) in the UK, then it rained. However, we’ve not had a wet Bank Holiday for some time now – until today, that is! Instead of a 12 mile walk across the Wiltshire Downs, it was tramp around the New Forest just to get some fresh air. I’d cycled past this spot two days earlier and it was dry then; funny what 36 hours of rain will do!
