Uig Harbour
This is the main port for the southern isles in the Outer Hebrides. Now that Skye is connected to the mainland by a bridge at Lochalsh (boo! hiss!), most of the commercial traffic for the Uists, Benbecula, Eriskay and perhaps Barra uses the daily ferry service. There is an intense frenzy of activtity as the ferry unloads and loads and then a serene peacefulness returns to Uig.
